Mine were up the swanny for months afterwards. Be cool. It will probably be fine.

MeMySonAndI · 30/12/2007 21:13

Have you done a pregnancy test? otherwise I would advise to not torment yourself until you are totally sure.

For what is worth, periods can also stop if you are over stressed (like for sleep deprivation )

sleepdeprivationandme · 30/12/2007 21:14

Do they need to settle? I went back on the mini pill about 3 months ago. I thought that would be the trick. Also sodding 'd'h was supposed to get the snip. sorry to rant. Dont know what else to do.

As far as I know, the mini pill can cause your period to stop altogether. What pill are you on?

moodlumthehoodlum · 30/12/2007 21:17

You don't need them to settle I don't think, you just need to know when you start the pill that you aren't pregnant.

MerlinsBeard · 30/12/2007 21:17

my periods took a year to settle after DS2 so it may be that you don't have a particular "due|" time yet or that the pill is adjusting your cycle

sleepdeprivationandme · 30/12/2007 21:18

Oh a ray of light hang on - I'll have a look, although I have had 2 periods since having ds2.

femulen

onepieceoflollipop · 30/12/2007 21:20

my dd2 is 4 months and I haven't had a period at all yet - exclusively b/f though.

I went on the mini pill when dd1 was a few months old, and could go for weeks and weeks without a period

dh has had the snip now, but as I understand it it can take months anyway before we get the "all clear".

sleepdeprivationandme · 30/12/2007 21:21

Feelng a little more reassured. Thank you.

SixRustyGeeseALaying · 30/12/2007 21:28

I was on femulen for years & had totally irregular periods - I'd go for months - over a year once - without anything.
