Neck strength in premature baby

Hi I have 2 boys 17 & 15 & 11wks ago we had our wee rainbow baby girl 💗 she was 4wks early, in ICU for a week & then in Neonatal for 2wks. She's doing amazing, she's still tiny at nearly 3mths old, she's 9lb 10oz & 58cm but medically she's doing great. I've never had a premi baby before & I'm just wondering is it normal that she still can't hold her head up for long on her own. My boys were normal delivery so I've no experience with how a premi baby should be at this age. Sorry for the waffle, thanks for taking the time to read this. Emma xx

She was 4 weeks early, so that needs knocking off her expected milestones. So if a 36 weeker was born 11 weeks ago, the developmental level you'd expect is that of a 7 week old baby, not an 11 week old baby. Makes a difference.

@nocoolnamesleft ah that makes sense, thank you. My pregnancy & labour was so stressful & traumatic I'm constantly worrying that it has affected her in some way. She's my 3rd baby but I was 2wks away from getting a full hysterectomy due to premature menopause & pcos when I found out I was pregnant!! I was still in menopause during my pregnancy, it's very rare but it can happen (apparently) thank you for taking the time to reply, I've got pnd so I'm worrying about everything xx
