Hi all.
I'm almost 5 months PP. 2 months ago i got the nexplanon implant inserted. I didn't get my period back until 11 weeks PP. Once i got the nexplanon in I have had my period 4 times within the space of 2 months it lasts for a week then goes away for about a week and a half. Has anyone else experience similar. I know things like this can mess periods but having 4 periods so close together within the space or 2 months is really annoying.

Not me. But my dd. Basically had one long permanent period. After suffering this for a YEAR, she is also now on the pill to sort out her periods. But don’t panic because I hear from many people it usually settles down. I think she was monumentally unlucky tbh

This happened to me. I spotted and bled for months, tried the pill to help but it didn't so ended up getting it taken out.

I bled pretty consistently for nearly 8 months before giving up and getting it out. Husband having vasectomy tomorrow.

I've had 5 nexplanon implants previously and this is very common. I went to my GP and they prescribed me progesterone only pills which I took for a month and it settled my periods down. I don't think you can take these if you're breastfeeding though. Definitely go to your gp and they should be able to help you.
