Hello everyone.

Just looking for advice really.

DS turned one two weeks and and we’ve been transitioning to cows milk. Cows milk in the morning when he wakes up, sometimes a little in the afternoon and still having formula before bed.

I’ve been thinking of switching him to cows milk before bed (formula about to run out) - do you think this is okay? Is it too much cows milk too soon?

Also, he still drinks it out of his bottles. Is that normal. FTM!!!!

Totally fine to switch to cows milk. I did start giving DS a multivitamin when we stopped giving him formula as it does contain some added stuff like that.

The advice is to stop using a bottle when they are one. We did in the morning and he's now naturally dropped his morning milk at about 19/20 months. However we do still have a bottle of cows milk before bed. It's comforting and now he has a little sister who has bottles I thought it might be quite difficult to take away! We do brush his teeth after though, he never has it in bed with him and his water throughout the day is fro different cups.

We did a straight switch. He much prefers cows milk to formula!

Totally normal to switch at 1. Don’t overthink it! I switched from bottle to cup at the same time too because it much easier to get rid of the bottle at this age(it also recommended to do it at 12 months) than when they get a bit older.
