My 2 year old developed a temperature on the 26th which we were keeping on top of by alternating calpol/nurofen as using them alone wasn't keeping the temperature down. He tends to get very high temps 39-40+.
On the 28th I took him to the GP as temperature hit 40.7, who prescribed antibiotics for an ear infection, as one ear looked mildly inflamed. He's on amoxicillin for 5 days - 3 times per day.
He took his first dose on the evening of the 28th so we're now on day 3 of antibiotics and his temperature hasn't yet shifted. Should I be concerned?
