Baby fussing when trying to feed

My 11week old DS used to be clear with his hunger cues and always latched on without any fuss until the last week or so. Now once he’s hungry (he doesn’t really give cues like he did before) I try to put him on the breast and he will start fussing and moaning like Im doing something awful. Then he’ll get himself worked up so I have to pop the dummy in to calm him then slip it out and quickly put him on the breast in a swift move to get him to feed. He’s then absolutely fine once he’s on!
He’s feeding well which is more important but I just wish he would go on happily like he used to. Anyone else experienced this/have any suggestions?

Sounds like he's not telling you early enough he's hungry and by the time he is being fed he's getting upset about it all. How frequently are you feeding him? Instead of waiting for him to initiate I'd try offering every 2hrs or so and should sort it out!
