Anyone else absolutely hates tummy time?

I have a 4 month old baby and the health visitor just told me I have to do more tummy time with him - she was of course right. Problem is I absolutely hate it, it hurts me to look at poor babies who hate it and cry and seem so uncomfortable. I hated it with my first baby but I did put a lot more effort in it in the end.
With this baby I have to admit I dropped the ball completely- pretty much zero tummy time except on my chest. Now I’ve been trying for the last 4 days but he just hates it and I can’t look at him so I literally do it for 2 mins and now I feel guily. Do your babies like it?

Oh yeah in terms of holding head up, we carried and held DS a lot rather than leaving in pram precisely because he was so alert and wanted to look around all the time. Nowt wrong with his head muscles!

If you read up on tummy time it came about after parents were leaving their babies on their backs most of the day. My son was not on his back most of the day (he was very anti being put down) so I never "did" tummy time. I think I tried about twice. He rolled, crawled and walked etc at normal ages.

I've read it all now! Tummy Time, never heard of it so had to google.

Seriously why would you do this to your kid if they don't like it???

I had a look to see the research behind it and doesn't look that robust to me. It seems most studies were observational in design.

Another stick to beat mums with.
