Looking back on my life, the most I remember are the simple proverbs that my grandmother used to educate me with. At that time, she just was using them to make a point, but now having mentored school kids, I remember how valuable they were in shaping up my growing up into a responsible adult. Now I scout the net for proverbs from across the world and am fascinated by the similar concepts being used in different cultural context. What next? I am planning to make a coloring book for kids with fun images mixed with global proverbs so that parents can teach them the meaning while doing this mother daughter or mother son activity.
