Back again after a very successful post about my extremely difficult sleeper, where I was encouraged to try controlled crying. We did it and it's working brilliantly. However, we have some follow up queries going forward.
- We always slept in the same room as our daughter, mainly because we have a one bedroom flat and, more recently have been staying with relatives. To carry out controlled crying we moved onto a mattress on the living room floor but, ideally, we would like to move back into our bedroom. We will look for a two bedroom flat soon but it will take some time. Does anyone have experience with this? Is having us back in the room going to make her regress again?
- We've got two moves coming up very shortly (one from country to city, one international - changing time zone and season). She never coped well with any change of sleep environment so we fully expect her to regress instantly. What should we do initially? She will be feeling genuinely insecure but I don't want to teach her that she can be picked up every time she wakes again. Would you carry on with the controlled crying straight away?
Thanks.
