My 3 year old has a non-verbal autistic child in his playschool class. My child is a real copier and is copying a lot of the behaviours of the other boy, and is struggling to understand why it's naughty when he does it but not when the other child does. I'm hoping someone has some suggestions of books that can explain, in an age-appriopriate way, that some people are different and have different levels of understanding and ability and any that specifically deal with autism would be great
Obviously we've spoken to him about it, but he seems to absorb messages from stories much better than things we say so I'm hoping a book would help reinforce the messaging
