Struggling to get back into a routine! Help!

My 9 month old and I both caught Covid, long story short his routine which was great has really messed up now 😭 I’m not sure whether it was his day of full sleep/raging fever/barely eating (the list goes on) or if he’s going through a regression. He’s just learnt to say mama and is now standing on his own. Today he woke up at 5am so I gave him a feed, thought he’d go back down until around 6:30 which he usually does. Nope he slept until 8:30am…so his morning nap which is usually around 8:30/9am was nearer to bloody 11!! When it came to his second nap at 3ish he was just wired.

Just wondered for a bit of inspiration - what kind of routine do you follow for your 9 month old? (He’s 10 months old in 1.5 weeks)

Thanks!

Please give me some kind of hope 😂

We are on 2 naps - first starts between 9 and 10, second starts between 1 and 2. Second is a longer nap (not always easy to achieve). I don't feed before 7am no matter when DS wakes up, and first nap is after 9, no matter when he wakes - that kind of gets us back on track even if he's woken up at 5am (which wasn't uncommon before we started doing this!) He usually wakes up around 3 but occasionally sleeps for ages in the afternoon.
I wake him at 4pm if that happens. Otherwise he isn't tired enough and wakes up super early the next morning - like laps of the cot ready for the day at 4am early. Bed around 7pm. Unless he's at all ill of course - he does whatever he needs to get better then.

Your issue sounds a bit different in that he overslept in the morning. Is he still poorly? If not could you wake him around 7am to get back on schedule, or close enough? I've definitely found having some loose boundaries has helped get back into a schedule after a few days.
