Double pram advice

Hello,

I am currently pregnant and my son will be 17 months when the baby arrives in july. I've been looking at double buggies and it appears the out n about double nipper comes out on top a lot. I just don't like the physical look of it at all...is there any other options that are just as good? I want a slimline side by side so was thinking the mountain buggy duet or one of the baby joggers? I ideally wanted one with a carrycot but has anyone used the joie aire twin as this seems to be a lot cheaper? Other recommendations welcome!

I used the Joie Air twin and it was amazing!! Fitted through all the doors and into yhe boot of my small car (out n about nipper didnt)

My daughter was 23 months when my son was born and I had a c section and it was comfortable enough to push about, v lightweight!

@DwangelaForever did you use it from newborn? If so was it supportive enough as that's one of the reasons I wanted a carrycot as looks more secure and comfy for a newborn. My son was only 4.5lb so just thinking ahead in case I have another small baby!

I used it from newborn sometimes, the advice was to keep the younger baby flat like you would in a carrycot and it was grand! I chose this as it was the cheaper option and cause my dd was 23 months I didn't plan on using it for too long (I mostly used it for walks in park, pushing both kids around shopping centres etc)

I saw an upper baby vista the other day (also trying to find a good double) and it looked quite good- storage, plus outwards facing toddler seat, patent facing newborn carrycot. I'm still researching though

I had a carrycot for my double nipper for the newborn.

I really like my Duet - a dream to push and good basket size. Due to it being super narrow I would say the carrycot and parent facing seat are probably a bit narrow, but DD is low percentile so hasn't been an issue.

It's not the smallest when folded and is heavy (but not impossible!) to lift into the car.

Really please with my decision - I agonised for ages over the MB, Out n About and the Baby Jogger.

There is a good second hand market on FB either to buy on or sell afterwards.
