...yet another sickness bug

Hi mumsnet, I haven't posted for a while but felt this is the only place people would feel the pain of my evening...

Had a lovely Saturday with my DP, 13 month old son and saw my mum and dad. DP went off to the rugby, DPs went home and me and baby had some play time. I gave him his bottle, bath and settled him down to sleep.
I then made myself a lovely dinner. It was almost ready so I put baby's toys away and was looking forward to sitting down with my meal, watch After Life and I had a face pack set up for later....I'm sure you can see where this is going...I hear a cough on the baby monitor so have a look. Baby has projectile vomited all over the cot. It's in his hair, over his face, down his sleeping bag. I realise he's also filled his nappy, and then some. Quickly ran a bath, dunked him in it, screaming the whole time. Then put jammies on him and sit him down whilst I run with sick covered sheets etc to washing machine. He's still screaming.

Managed to settle him but unfortunately my dinner is uneaten in the pot, and we're lying on beach towels over my bed sheets, with the lovely aroma of baby sick wafting through my home...

Nursery does have it's plus points though ...doesn't it ...

I remember it well OP, saying that we have had every cold, virus, hf&m since September and the whole family got Covid over Christmas and New year. I though we were back to better health until dd6 came down with a temp, runny nose, & aches today. Toddler Ds feels like he is following, its shite. Nursery definitely has plus points if they can ever do an uninterrupted stretch.
