How to make DD feel better

8mo DD:
Is teething
Has a stinker of a cold that's making her cough till she throws up and is giving her horrible gunky eyes
Is weaning, and is suddenly doing dozens of poos a day (not diarrhoea, just little plops), and her bum is red raw from cleaning and obviously really stings.
Has really sore dribble rash on her cheeks and chin, despite not using a dummy.

We're trying to keep her nose clear with saline, and are smothering her in creams from head to foot. Also warm baths for the steam. We've been to the doctor who's happy there's no infections etc, it's just snot.

I just feel so sorry for her. Anything else I can do?

Are you putting metanuum on the nappy rash?

LaMadrilena · 22/01/2022 19:02

Using a big standard cream that we had in, as she's never really had this problem. Not sure if metanium is available here (not UK), I'll see if there's an equivalent.

I only mention metanium because ds went through a phase of little mucussy poos that really burned when he was teething. A friend mentioned metanium and it sorted him out in minutes.

I hope someone comes along to offer advice on the congestion.

Sudocrem might help with the dribble rash.
