Milk at 1year

My son has just turned One and I'm trying to decide what to do about his milk.

We use formula and he has tried some whole milk today and had no issues with it.

How do I give the milk? Do I use his usual bottles or switch to a different cup? How much of the whole milk should he be having? He uses a 360 cup for water and also a tiny cup so he is getting used to sipping. I'm just not really sure what to do.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

If he's fine with whole milk I'd just swap to that when your current formula runs out. He only needs 10 floz or 300 ml a day so some people prefer to keep the bedtime bottle and give the other milk in a cup.

Thank you. Would you still give a morning bottle too? He has porridge for breakfast that I can add milk to plus yoghurt during the day. It seems to be the only time he sits still for a cuddle when I'm feeding him a bottle now! I was looking at the Nuk bottles for during the day. There are so many different bottles to choose from!

Personally I'd drop the morning one. The milk in his porridge and his yoghurt should be enough. Just make sure he has a daily vitamin.

If you're worried about missing cuddles you couple always swap the bottle for a snack and a book Smile

That's a good idea he does love a story! Thanks for the advice. It's just amazing how much they change in such a short space of time and go from tiny babies who love all the cuddles to these little independent people Smile

I love this age, especially when they start chatting to you and you get to find out what they're thinking Smile

Definitely! I can't wait to hear what his voice sounds like Grin
