Birthday Day Out with Baby

It's my birthday coming up and trying to decide what to do, DD will be nearly 6mo and still EBF so she'll be coming along for the day. Any ideas of what we could do as well as going out for a nice lunch, I'm in Warwickshire and could easily get to Birmingham as well.

Do you prefer towns and cities or rural type activities? Which part of Warwickshire are you? X

Either, and the weather is meant to be nice on the long range forecast. Would need to be buggy friendly though because I've given up on the carrier for now because it made my back "go" over Christmas. Near Rugby so can also get to Northamptonshire and Leicestershire easily.

Stratford? Or Kenilworth is lovely, with the castle (worth a visit) and Abbey fields (with ducks on the lake for baby to look at) and the Old High Street. Lovely places to eat in both. You're not far from the cotswolds either. I'm not so familiar with the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire side of things.

Thank you, Stratford is my go to and I feel like I'm always going there, but did think the baby might like the butterfly farm. I don't know Kenilworth as well so that might be nice as a change.

Kenilworth would be a lovely day out, but only if the weather is reasonably OK, as the castle and Abbey fields are mostly outdoors. The castle is a ruins for the most part - absolutely spectacular. Do book though, especially for a weekend. It's English heritage. Kenilworth also has an abundance of tea rooms and cafes for comfort when Bfeeding your baby, although I think I've done that on most of the benches dotted around the castle too! It also has a nice, if slight draughty restaurant/cafe in the old stables.

If the weather is bad, there is the sea life centre (or a similar name) in Birmingham.

Happy birthday!
