Sad Tell me it looks normal...
They erupted about a week/two weeks ago...is this plaque already?! Feeling like a bad mum. I've been brushing her bottom teeth each evening before bed and now we've got more I'm upping it to before her morning nap to. Im using a silicone finger brush with a smear of milk teeth baby toothpaste by aquafresh. She doesn't let me brush much but loves a good chew. I don't rinse her mouth out afterwards as only a tiny amount was used and I figure it's better left in if the teeth aren't being brushed thoroughly?!

Am I doing it all wrong Sad

It wont be plaque. Just looks like the colour of the enamel

I freaked out about similar but it was nothing luckily. My dentist said colour like that can be two things- the start of decay (which seems unlikely if they’ve just come through ) or just the way the teeth are. I would brush morning and night though and try a proper baby brush.

Did you have antibiotics or illness during pregnancy? It won't be fluorosis if they haven't had a source of fluoride other than a smear of toothpaste.

@dementedpixie yes antibiotics twice I think and covid.

My DD had this discolouring on all her baby teeth. It was nothing, although according to the dentist she was more susceptible to holes (had none though). She now has her adult teeth and they are completely normal.
