Having children close in age

Hi my son is 8 months old and my partner and I have always said we would like 2 children so we've decided to try again already.

It took us a year of trying and 2 miscarriages before my son stuck. I absolutely hated pregnancy and really just want to get it over and done with so I don't have to worry about it again (sorry if that sounds harsh)

I just wondered what it would be like having 2 young children. I realise it's probably a lot of work but my main focus point is I wouldn't want my son to be an only child

Is trying again this soon just madness 😂

You'll go through the same stages at the same time and get your freedom back sooner. I have a ten year gap and wish life had worked out differently- it's so hard parenting kids who are a generation apart and I'll have spent so many years of my life with an under 18!

In fact I'll have spent 28 years of my life with an under 18 year old- good god! 🤣

It took us quite a long time to conceive our first child. Then it took literally one attempt to conceive the next. We had assumed it would take a while so started trying sooner than we might have done! No regrets about age gap though.
