4 Month Old - Blood and Mucous in Stool

My 4 month old has been having recurring blood and mucous in her stool. I am currently on a Dairy, Soy, Nut and Gluten free diet, however I have seen no improvement. Originally the Paediatrician said it sounds like a cows milk protein allergy but as it’s been 6+ weeks they are saying I should stop breastfeeding and put my baby on a prescribed formula. That perhaps she is intolerant to my milk?! Another paediatrician advised me NOT to stop breastfeeding but instead to go back on all foods and see how baby is after 7 days.
I am very frustrated and confused. Has anyone had a similar experience or have any advice they can share with me…?!
Thanking you in advance!
