Poor thing! My PFB caught a cold from visitors at the same age Sad

I don't think there is much you can do at that age. The GP gave us saline nasal drops to help clear his little nose. TBF, he's now almost a qualified doctor himself so maybe someone will come along with more up to date advice Grin

Is there any possibility it could be COVID?

My 4 month old has had constant sniffles since she was born thanks to her 3 year old sister. The Sterimar nasal spray for babies has been helpful (the spray bit is really gentle but effective, better than the own brand ones) - if she’s struggling with snot we spray that then a few minutes later use an NUK suction thing from Boots to suck out the loosened bogies - disgusting but strangely satisfying.

If stuffy and congested rather than snotty, could also try Snufflebabes rub (or I think Vicks do a baby version) and a Calpol plug in near the cot. Night times are the worst!

Mine had a cold at that age too, courtesy of his big sister. We used a snot sucker thing on his nose and some saline spray but that was it. He’s now almost 1 so he came through just fine!

Snuffle baby rub or the Calpol plug in mentioned by PP aren’t for use below 3 months so don’t use those but they are good so I would definitely recommend for the inevitable next cold!

I take ours in to the bathroom when I have a shower, the steam helps clear a snotty nose so they get a better sleep. Olbas oil on some cloth hung near cot at night too.
