hi there,

wonder if anyone can help provide some recommendations for resorts in europe!

dh and i are planning to take ds on holiday in May 2008 he'll be 23 months, we want to go somewhere warm within 3 hour max flight from london, somewhere we can sunbathe that is child friendly and more importantly has good kids entertainment in the evening and during the day.

thanks so much!

if budget is not a problem-vila vita parc in portugal is a fab, child friendly resort-but mega pricey

Have you tried the products section on mumsnet. They have some recommended holidays. All too expensive for us though! Or you could try the shorthual section on the forum.

I'd look at greece for short haul and decent weather in May, maybe the islands?

Kind of depends what you mean by kids' entertainment. Lots of clubs only take them from 3 and much would pass them by before that age anyway.

Cala Font, went there last summer and ha da really lovely family holiday, most people there had been there before and we would defintaley go back.
Its a great hotel with a loely pool and a separate pool for little ones, a great kids club and entertainment right through the evening. A lovely small private baech area. Very clean hotel and rooms, food is a bit naff, great for buffet breakfasts, salads, soups and puddings though.
Its in a VERY SMALL village called Cap salou which is along the coast and VERY different from Salou, Costa Daurada

Eurocamp offer good value for money, but I think your toddler might be a bit young. Its worth holding out for late deals as prices do fall substantially.
