DD seems to have been grouchy ever since been on holidays from nursery. Feel very low and have PMT and beginning to feel she does not like being at home and would prefer to be at nursery. V sad

Is she an only one? Perhaps she's missing her friends? Could you meet up with other friends with children or take her out to the playground or something? My two miss the stimulation of school and nursery so we usually try to get out and about over the holiday to avoid them going stir crazy at home.

Maybe she just misses the company of children? My DD sometimes screams when I arrive to take her home from nursery, because she's having a jolly good time. Don't be sad, eat chocolate & settle down to some playtime with her.

She's probably just bored.

I think you are all spot on, she misses her friends. I have just taken her to the park (wellies and raincoat included) and she loved it. Tomorrow we have a play date so looking fwd to that.

She also said cuddle when came down from nap, which was lovely.

Was horrible to dh at lunch so think he will need a cuddle now.

i sort of miss the routine of work/nursery and feel bit out of sorts. Is that a terrible thing to say.

Well is your nursery open this week? I called nursery this morning and asked to take dd in today (already planned to take her in tomorrow). She's 2.5 and it has been just the 3 of us at home (in the rain, no family, all playdates away with their families) - she ran enthusiastically into nursery and we are getting a ton of cleaning and jobs done while she is there.

We love dd and she loves us - but it is hard work playing with a toddler all day and she wants to run around with her friends who play like 'real' toddlers! I think this has worked well for all of us - even though the nursery staff are probably horrified at parents taking their kids to nursery when they're not at work.

I'm doing the same thing Acinonyx. DD is 3 and was ill from Sat to Tues, now she's better and bored stiff. She's going in 8-1 tomorrow. She'll love it and I can hit the sales!

Unfortunately, my dd nursery is closed till the 3rd. Feel like she could really do with going for a day! We have had a very pleasant afternoon though. Much better than this morning and she did her first poop in the potty!
