20 mo doesn't eat at nursery

My son is generally a good eater unless he's ill. He goes to nursery some afternoons so gets offered a snack and small tea. He usually eats the snack which will usually be fruit but he NEVER eats tea. Granted he's never offered the nicest of meals because they have the nice meal for lunch when he's not there, it's very simple and plain stuff which he doesn't really get offered at home unless it's a ham sandwich for lunch. But I was told children usually eat more at nursery as they copy the others? I feel like they don't really give home enough chance to eat because at home he has to sit in front of his meal for 5/10 mins before he'll delve in. When he gets home he's usually starving.

Should I say something or will I sound ridiculous?

Sounds like he likes your food rather than being a good eater which isn’t unusual. He has also probably learnt that you will feed him straight afterwards.
