Opinions on whether to have another baby

So I currently have a 13 month old.
We live in a 2 bed flat. My partner is paying off a CCJ so couldn't be on the mortgage so all I could afford on my own is a flat.
In about 2 1/2 yrs he will have paid it off so the plan was we would then move into a house as we can have a joint mortgage & we would wait to have a second baby until then. I was completely fine with this & wanted a 3/4 year age gap anyway.
Lately I've been sooo broody, I don't know if it's because my DD seems so grown up now but I'm really wanting another baby. (Partner would have another baby tomorrow)
Would I be silly to have one now because of our circumstances?

I think it depends on more than what you’ve described. Does your DH contribute to the mortgage and bills even though he isn’t officially an owner? Can you afford another maternity leave in quick succession? For me it would probably still be a no until you can afford a third bedroom, but I’m sure loads of people make 2 bedrooms work. The finances is the main thing you need to have sorted.

Honestly only you can decide. Many people have children share a room with little issue. Would you be able to physically accommodate all the baby stuff and the toddler stuff? Do you have enough room in your bedroom to have a full sized cot if the two children sleeping in a room together proves problematic?

Under these circumstances then yes I'd wait. It's 2 years not 20 or never. Only other option would be to rent a larger house - surely his CCJ wouldn't matter the ??

I live in a two bed flat and expecting my second. Youngest will sleep in with us for first 6months or longer and then in with eldest ( which will be a bit of a squeeze). We will look at a bigger space after this but will manage for now. I don't think it's a reason to put off having another child. Especially as you know you can move in the future.
