Health visitor visit during COVID

Hi,

I have another health visitor visit coming up and I have started to feel a little bit uncomfortable with my health visitor coming to see us during COVID.

How politely tell her not to come ? Especially when we told our families not to visit.

Why does she want to visit monthly? It’s unusual for them to want to so does she think you need some extra support?

Are you leaving your home? Going to the shops and days out?
What about your DH? Is he doing the same?
If yes then a health visitor visit is really no different. Especially if the health visitor does not have any symptoms when they visit you.
If you have been staying at home and going nowhere I gently suggest that you are overly anxious and a chat with your health visitor actually might be helpful.

Why does the HV want to come monthly-is the baby ill or this linked to your anxiety?

Given that they wish to visit monthly, it sounds like your family is requiring some extra support. Please do discuss your worries with them but ultimately not engaging with services may not be in the best interests of you or your child.

You just say 'im uncomfortable given the current COVID situation. Please could we arrange a zoom meeting instead?'

I do feel its a tad ridiculous though. Whats your limit? When your babies 6mo? When they're 1?

All seems a bit arbitrary to me considering COVID isnt going away. We need to learn to live with it.
