Baby monitor- which one?

Hi

I’m looking for a monitor that has good quality night vision and a separate screen so I don’t need to use my phone. No budget would just like a good one that I feel comfortable knowing I can see him.

Any suggestions would be great or if you have one that would definitely not recommend that would be good to know too.

Thanks

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for a great baby monitor, we’ve recently updated our best baby monitors page with lots of options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users and their babies. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

Is the night vision clear on it?

We have the BT 5000 one like pretty much everyone I know. No complaints here.

I have a CamPark one. I think its bomb proof. The monitor has been dropped so many times and its ok

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2022 13:02

Yes very clear

Babyontheway21 · 16/01/2022 13:04

I was looking at the bt6000 from when I was pregnant but there was quite a few reviews that said the night vision was poor Confusedso that’s why I thought I would ask on here for suggestions and own experiences. Thanks I’ll look at the campark one.

It depends how clear you need it. It's never going to be amazing but I can easily see, eg, that DS has taken off his pyjama bottoms again 🙄

Babyontheway21 · 16/01/2022 13:34

Haha I have all that to look forward to.

If you go on to CamParks website they have a sale on - some monitors have 50% off.

(I promise I dont work for the company, I just think they're quite good and value for money!)

BT5000 here, love it. Good for night vision and doesn't work on WiFi so less chance of being hacked. The 6000 has a bigger screen but I don't feel you need one bigger than the 5000.

Bt6000 here. Night vision good enough, you can see baby's chest rising up and down and whether they have eyes open/closed, or dummy in the mouth
