Not sure what I’m trying to say here so please bare with me.

I had my DD when I was 19, I’m 32 now. She is absolutely amazing, she is my only child. Iv always loved being a young mum but never really felt it.

Since she started secondary school she seems to be growing up super fast. I suddenly don’t know how old I am?? I know I’m 32 but sometimes I feel really old because I have a nearly 13yr old but other times I don’t feel old to have her and that I feel early 20’s?!

Obviously all of her friends mums have always been much older than me but I think I’m suddenly panicking that before I’m 40 she will be at universityShock! I just can’t get my head around it.

Anyone relate???

I jasmine older but have a lot of friends who were Mums about the same age as you.

Whatever age you have your DC I think when they reach that age it's normal to start questioning yourself. They're heading towards adulthood and it makes you think about how you've spent your adult years.

In the plus side, once she's at Uni you'll still have plenty of energy for a social life and even a career change, if you fancy it Smile

@BunnyRuddington thank you for replying!
I am trying to see the positives and have some plans in mind. Just can’t actually see where the time has gone!

I had my first when I was 16. DS last birthday (it was a milestone) I asked if he would mind taking a few years off when anyone asked his age, he asked me why....I told him he was making me feel old! And no...I wasn't jokingGrin
