Hi

My 12 week old son has blood in his nappies and Dr has requested 2 stool samples.

His stools are very liquidy and soaks into his nappy’s, anyone got any tips on how to get a sufficient amount?

Also not every nappy has blood in, do you think it’s the blood they wAnt? Or is normal poo okay?

I should have asked him but did think and it’s too late to call him now.

Thank you so much

I would put a plastic food bag in the nappy to reduce the absorption.

A stool sample is what they need. You shouldn't be waiting for it to just be blood for example....

They can detect tiny amounts of
Blood that you can’t see so don’t worry about that. If it’s there will find it. Could you line the nappy with plastic bag square you just need it to be on plastic
Long enough scoop in before it’s absorbed. Or leave on changing mat with bottom bare and wait for an event Grin
