Teething baby and angry neighbour

My 8 month old DD has four teeth coming in at the top and it's so awful for her. I've been giving her neurofen for children, calpol, teething granules, frozen teething rings and this chewy baby toothbrush thing but she is so unhappy. She whinges constantly and keeps screaming out. She is waking up about four times during the night crying. I feel sorry for her and I'm so tired and fed up. What else can I do to help her??

To top it all off we staying in an Airbnb at the moment while our house is being sorted and yesterday morning the man in the flat next door knocked and asked me to keep the noise down because it's getting on his nerves and "some of us have jobs to do" 😑
This has increased my stress levels!

Anbesol liquid. If she has been screaming a while I would get a GP to check her over for signs of an ear infection

Thank you, I wasn't sure if it was suitable for children. I'll get some and call the docs this afternoon if she isn't better.

Ignore the angry neighbour. If he knocks again, look puzzled and say, “She’s… a… baby…?” and shut the door. Crying children are excluded from noise nuisance complaints for a reason! He can buy noise cancelling headphones if it’s a problem.

Tell your neighbour to get some noise cancelling headphones. She's a baby, crying is what they do and if you are responding to her crying to the best of your ability (which no doubt you are) then there's nothing else you can really do.

The land lady phoned me yesterday evening to ask if everything was okay, then said the next door neighbour had told her the baby has been crying a lot. So he has obviously complained Hmm

In other news the anbesol seems to be helping and she slept through last night! Grin
