Baby has covid :( terrified

Hi, my 10 week old baby has covid. He seems fine, just coughing, so far but I am sick with worry. I have spoken to drs at 111 so am watchful waiting on their advice. Does anyone have any (hopefully reassuring, but any at all) stories to share of babies with covid? How long did it take for symptoms to appear, how long did they last, how was baby? I'm so worried.

Try not to worry too much.

Our little girl had it last month (was 4mth), I had it too and similar symptoms. Her sleeping and feeding were disrupted but she coped pretty well with it. Took a couple of weeks for her to fully recover.

We all had it when DC2 was newborn, he was fine, took a couple of weeks for the cough to go but he was better than both me & DH.

Thank you both. I'm so glad your little ones recovered. I'm trying not to worry.

Try not to worry. Ours had it when she was 13 weeks. She had a fever for 24 hours and then was still a bit unwell and not herself for another 2 days. After that she seemed fine, was just a bit congested and had a bit of a cough for a week or so. Just keep an eye on his temperature and make sure he is still feeding adequately ie you are having usual amount of wet/dirty nappies.

Just came to reassure you. Mine have just recovered, although they're both still very tired all the time. But they are 1.5 and 4 months and they had a nasty cough and slight temperature but soldiered through it. Please don't worry

Thank you so much everybody. I really really appreciate the reassurances - it has genuinely helped calm me down x x x

Mine had no symptoms but was a bit sleepier than usual. I think she liked isolating and getting 10 days of mummy time Smile
