Hi, I am new to this site so not 100% with all abbreviations.
My baby is 6 weeks old, 2 weeks ago he had surgery due to pyloric stenosis, this presented as uncomfortability and projectile vomiting. Before his surgery he was always really uncomfortable after feeds, often arching his back and crying. He also whines, grunts and whimpers when he is lay on his back. I thought this was due to the pyloric stenosis and would go once he had surgery. Since then, the vomiting has stopped (although he does posset after every feed) but the pain is very much still there. Gaviscon didn't work, he is now taking omeprazole, he started with 1ml which did nothing and this was increased to the maximum 3ml (6mg) yesterday which doesn't seem to be doing anything.
I just wondered if anybody else had been through this? I barely sleep due to how uncomfortable he is when I put him down. I'm doing the usual keeping him upright for 45mins after feeding, burping regularly throughout feeds etc. He is currently having 90-120mls formula every 2.5-3 hours. Is this too much? I know overfeeding can aggravate.
