If you have three /more what lead you to that decision (besides surprises!)
We have to beautiful boys, 2 years eldest and youngest 5 months.
I’ve always wanted at least two so my children would have a sibling.
Husband would like two more!! I would like a third, unsure about a fourth (sounds too many in my head!) but what are the benefits or negatives about three children?
We have a people carrier anyway so car seats not an issue, a big enough house (though this didn’t stop people years ago as I found on a census that my parents small house was home to 8 children plus their parents!!)
I worry if one would feel left out - but would they really? Wouldn’t it be easier to rotate one-on-one time, pair two off and play with the other one?
DH is an only child and has always wanted plenty of children. He had 6 cousins growing up very close to him and wishes he wasn’t on his own (especially when FIL passed away - he wishes more than anything he had a sibling to Lean on and support each other through that!)
I had one sibling growing up and though I have happy memories of childhood he turned into a right arsehole in his teens and now has nothing to do with me or my parents. So effectively I’m an only child now and it’s me who will need to deal with anything related to my parents. It would be quite nice to have had two siblings I think so that my children would actually have an aunt/uncle and I’d still have a sibling to talk to.
