Baby Beehinds Leaking

Would welcome any ideas on what has gone wrong - we have been using baby beehinds succesfully at night for nearly a year, we use an airflow wrap and so far never a leak. For the last three night we've had bad leaks - we cycle the wraps so I don't think they have failed. Last night we really checked that everything was still in the wrap and still a wet DS in the morning. We wash the nappies in ecover and at the moment dry them on the radiators. Any ideas where its all gone wrong??? - thanks for any help

Are they hemp or bamboo? Can you tell where they are leaking from?

Hi coby - they are bamboo and seem to be leaking at the waist at the side.

If they were hemp I might have had some ideas for you to try but...stumped now.

Would have thought you had a pretty bombproof combination there. The only thing I can think of is that your DS has taken to sleeping to in a different position recently. I've had nappies leak at the front from the waist when DD started sleeping on her front with her knees tucked under (it caused the nappy to open at the sides at the top so they leakedonce they got very wet). I got over this by putting the wrap on a little tighter around the waist until she went back to 'flat sleeping'! Sometimes I have found that when they sleep in the position I described, they get red marks at the front of the legs from the wrap being tighter there.

Sorry I'm not much help. I'm looking to buy some of these myself (hint hint to anyone reading this with some to sell ) so glad to hear you usually get on well with them.

You're not too far away from me really - think we may have attended the same tertiary education establishment (was a uni by the time I got there...just ). I was in the school of biological sciences but had a lot of friends in the env sci dept - 'tis one of the best on the country you know

Hi - sorry for not getting back v. quickly - luckily we've had a dry few nights - I think he may be changing his peeing habits as we have suddenly had a few very wet nappies as though he is storing it it up. Possibly did study at the same esteemed establishment I lurked in the environmental science dept in the early 90's!!!

Mid to late nineties for me - seems such a long time ago (the worst bit was that every room in halls had Oasis' 'Wonderwall' blasting out of it ARRGHHHHHHHHH)
