Refusing milk

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same with there LO.

So my 6 and half month old has decided she does not wish to drink her formula. She has been having solids for the past 3 weeks and during this time her amount of formula intake has decreased. For the first few weeks so would still be having 4-5 ounces of milk every 4 hours and one 6 ounce bottle through the night.

This week she is barely drinking 2 ounces each feed through the day but has increased her feeds to 2 through the night. The last 2 days she has refused her milk through the day and I have had to put her formula in her cereal to try and get some in her.

Has anyone else experienced this. I'm worried she is not getting all the nutrients she needs from her formula x

Hi

I've experienced this and I found it was because my son was easily distracted/ bored and didn't want to sit and drink his milk. We used to go into different rooms, even walk and feed, gentle motion while feeding just to get enough in him.

I did speak to a HV too and she suggested lots of calcium rich foods and a daily multivitamin if he had less than 20 oz in a day.

How much solids?

I was going to ask how often you're offering solids as well. At this age 2 a day should be the absolute maximum Smile
