Any tips to make angelcare sensor more comfy for baby?

I have a 4 week old, who falls asleep in your arms so easily, but games over as soon as you pop down into the next to me at night.

I have the angelcare sensor, and I noticed it does make the mattress bulge a bit so I took it out to see how baby got on. They did settle much quicker, so I'm thinking it's this sensor that's maybe just uncomfy when lying down and making sleep N ordeal?

I really don't want to remove the sensor, I have really bad anxiety and it helps as a backup for me. So, has anyone else had this issue and any tips?

I don’t think your meant to use those sensors in Moses baskets, next to you etc. they need to be screwed down on to a piece of thin wood and placed under a proper mattress In a cot/crib. That was certainly the case when we had one with DS 5 years ago.
