Any experience with room-sharing long term?

Hi everyone,

We are in a one bedroom flat with our 3 month old. Likely to be here at least another 2 years, so DS won't have his own room before then.

I just wondered if anyone else has experience of room sharing longish term? How was it getting them to sleep in their own room at a later age?
Any tips for managing?

TIA

My DD is still in my room (similar circumstances) and she’s 20 months. I’ve never co-slept and I worked really hard at getting her to self-settle (no CIO, done pick up put down method) so when the time comes, it’ll be an easier transition. She goes to bed around 7 and I use a sound machine so I don’t disturb her when I go to bed. As they get older they do stir quite easily so having a sound machine is a must IMO.

Can’t answer your other question as she’s still in with me Grin
