I have done traditional weaning with some BLW up until now. He can feed himself soft toast, baby wafers and soft veg.
I'm struggling with lunch ideas so just looking for some inspiration please 😊

What would you normally have for lunch?

Namechangesagain · 05/01/2022 16:09

Scrambled eggs
Omelette
Jacket potatoes
Soup and crackers
Beans on toast
Snacky bits like grated cheese breadsticks, cucumber sticks etc

Wallawallakoala · 05/01/2022 16:14

Pitta and hummus
Tuna pasta
Cream cheese on cucumber slices
Cheese and ham wraps (pinwheels)
Sometimes used to roll up cheese and ham in puff pastry like a sausage, chop into disks and cook

Always offered with grapes, bananas etc

My DD is 14 months. She has a variety. She has Ella's pouches when out and about. At home she has Pretty much what we eat just cut into suitable sizes. I don't add any salt and watch for salt and sugar in ingredients that's it!

Sandwiches
Spag bowl left overs
Jacket pots
Pasta pesto
Lasagne
Cheesy toast
Philadelphia bagels
Veg and hummus
Soup (chunky soup)
Beans on toast
Hard boiled eggs
Salmon rice and pees
Pizza (we make it on a wrap base)
Omelette
Risotto

We tried making separate meals for her and it just made it harder for ourselves there was no point! So we adjusted our salt and sugar intake and she just has what we have. She's sometimes spoon fed still but can do herself and she feeds herself well with picky food. Has been this way since she was 9-10 months - soooo much easier!

Rissotto if you can be bothered, omlette, macaroni cheese, boiled egg and soilders agree with beans on toast also eggy bread. Fish fingers.

What do you have? Think along the same lines eg sandwich, soup, leftovers
