when do I know to change to a faster flowing teat??

DS is 12 weeks and on slow flow teat at the moment. When do I know if he is ready to change??

just get a variable flow

He'll get frustrated when you are feeding him if he needs a faster flowing teat. DD1 was bf but on the rare occasion she had a bottle she had it with a slow teat even after 12 months so not all babies will need a fast teat.

I meant dd2 not dd2. We did use a faster teat for d1 but can't remeber when we changed.

frustration while feedung and making a 'toc' sound while sucking as if sucking too hard (sorry for shortness got a 6 week old ds2 on my shoulder). ds1 moved up to faster teat at about 3 months, we never got on with variable, too much faff
