Hello. I have bought bambino mio nappies for when baby arrives. When I first got pregnant nd was looking into washables, they looked like the best choice.

Since then, I have heard alot of bad things about them and hoping I didn't make the wrong choice!

Was wondering if anybody has nappies from bambino mio and if so, how do you find them?

YES - i've always found it odd that nobody on MN admits to using them

we inherited a set from DS's cousin. they are both tall boys and the shape seems to work pretty well for them.

they were leaky when DS was really tiny (when he'd barely grown into the first size), and for a couple of weeks after going up a size.

we stopped using them at night when DS was about three weeks old because of the leaks and i always meant to give them another go at night but never got round to it, so i can't help you there.

they are really easy to get onto a wriggling 11 month old and easy to wash.

I used them for ages but two major drawbacks: 1 - take ages to dry; 2 - bit bulky under a lot of clothes (although finding ones that aren't is still eluding me so not sure they're worse than anything else).

Overall though I think they're allright. Easy to use, for sure. Wouldn't use it at night though.

I use Bambine Mio Prefold nappies with Bambino Mio wraps. I like them, the nappies are made of good quality material (unlike some, which are padded with foam!!!) which is absorbant enough, and the wraps are a good shape for mu chubby toddler boy.

HI I am using them for my 9 month old, I love them!! Used to use tots bots but had lots of leaks, these don't leak at all and the wrap is easy to fit. Find that they are faster drying too. Good luck with your baby

I like the nappies but didn't line the wraps. Motherease wraps are much better but it does depend on your babies shape.

Thank you for all the help so far, I am watching this thread so will keep and eye out for any more opinions! I didn't pay too much for them, as I got them second hand and just gave them all a good wash etc. I think I paid about £70 in total, but have the equivilant to more than 2 of the birth to potty packs that sell for £200+

Just adding I've been happy (well DD has!) with her Bambino Mios for 2 years, just started using fluffles overnight from about 18 months as wraps were rubbing a bit, and REALLY huge bum with 2 pads in. Most of the time have used smaller pad as booster in larger nappy, so she was in larger size up at nights to daytime- meant birth-to-potty kit worked quite well, didn't need to buy too many extra wraps (did buy some due to using childminder and working/washing enough issues), but since I started trying other things for night time I have fallen in love with fleecy wraps and fluffles, just so huggable! Planning on using mostly BMs next time around, with fluffles/few other tots bots mixed in for good measure. We did find some of the wraps started to fall apart but think it was due to too much tumble drying. Gut feeling though is wraps won't last long enough for 3rd baby (to pass on to friend!) but pads great.
