Anyone else’s toddler poorly over Christmas?

My toddler is going through his first winter at nursery which has been exhausting to say the least however we’ve managed a solid 3 weeks now of him being okay and it’s been wonderful! He came back from nursery last week with a cold and it seemingly has been just a mild cold, he’s been totally fine in himself however today he fell asleep on the sofa which he never ever does unless he’s ill or coming down with something. Also about an hour earlier than when he would usually sleep.

I’m so hoping he’s not actually poorly and he was just more tired than usual but it’s just so so unlike him so bracing myself for him going down hill today :( a bit nervous at the lack of medical help available over the Christmas period too incase we need to speak to a doctor.

I’ve been plying him with fruit and veg and vitamins too in an effort to prevent this :(

Ahh nursery colds, they just get wiped out with them. My DD runs a temp of 41 often when she gets a cold from nursery, it’s a toddler thing. I wouldn’t over worry yourself though as even when her temp was high I didn’t need to seek medical advice as it came down with calpol.
I’d just make sure you’ve got calpol and ibro in for your DC and ride with it. Won’t be the last cold at CHristmas I can tell you that much! My DD has brought chickenpox home this week from nursery, it’s just one of those things. Hopefully she’s over the worst by Xmas day

Yep. We were up all night last night with DD who has a vomiting bug. Just in time for Christmas! Argh.

Yes, my 2 year old is poorly. As is my 8 year old, and my 6 year old. And me and DH!

You have my sympathy. We have just got over this. My grandson was poorly for two weeks. It is 'doing the rounds' as they say..

I hate to be that poster but I'd take him for PCR.

Our entire household has a stinking cold. We’ve had PCRs, all good. Just a miserable cold. Yay. Joys of kids. Im having some medicinal whiskey tonight 😂

Medical care is fully available over Christmas. 111 always runs, A&E always available. Out of hours GPS will be working every single day. Your GPS website should have info on where to ring over Christmas if you need medical help.
