Top tips for treating a toddler cold?

My 20 month old DD has come down with a cold and cough. She has a constantly streaming nose with clear snot and also a cough. I’m not sure how to describe the cough, other than to say it’s definitely not a dry one. She seems fine in herself otherwise.

Does anyone have any tips for medication or anything else I can give her to help? I hate seeing her ill!

calpol vapour plug in for night times if you havent tried it, its amazing. PCR if you've not done one. calpol, cuddles & cebebbies?

Calpol plug in is good. A humidifier for her room at night sometimes helps my dd. Snufflebabe on the soles of her feet.

Plenty of fluids, mine can have as much watered down juice, squash etc when they are I'll just to make them drink more. Dd2 has had a cold this week and has asked for milk a lot, maybe because it's cold?

Asda do vapour rub smelling baby bath which is good too. But apart from that, lots of CBeebies and cuddles.

Thanks everyone. Is it best to take her out for walks (wrapped up warm of course!) or to keep her in?

Vaporub on feet to stop coughing. It really works!

The vicks stuff can be used from 2 I think but you can get baby versions too.

Snuffle Babe(s) is the baby version of Vicks, it's pretty good. Also Sterimar spray to help unblock her nose. Sitting her in the the bathroom while you have a shower will help unblock her too because of the steam. Hope she's feeling better soon, it's miserable when little ones have colds.
