3 month old REALLY stinky fart with a high temp

Hey

My 3 month old has always been a farter, but today they have been super stinky which isn't usual and he now has a slightly high temp (38.4) he is formula fed.

He seems okay in himself mostly, fussy here and there and is drinking slightly less than usual but still enough for me to be happy with.

I plan to call the GP tomorrow just to get him checked but wondered if there might be a particular reason or are the 2 linked??

How was he overnight @thunderinthesky?

@PanicBuyingSprouts he was okay! I gave him some Calpol which bough the temp down and that has stayed down. He seems okay, a little bit groany!

Could be teething.

Mine always had dodgy bottoms and a temp when a tooth was on its way.

@MajorCarolDanvers oh yeah I didn't think of that! Could be first tooth on its way!

I think it's always worth getting a baby checked out at that age OP.

Definitely get him checked with a temp over 38 and that little. My DS was automatically admitted to hospital for obs and antibiotics when he was 3 months just because his temp was over 38 (turned out to be a UTI) xx

Thanks for the replies. I spoke to the doc and as his temp has stayed down been told to keep an eye on him, how much he feeds, wet nappies etc...
hopefully it was a short lived infection that's sorted out self out!
