10 month old rash

My 10 month old son has had a temp for a week, he has been seen by the hospital (long story) who said it was likely a virus of some kind.

His temp has been a bit more under control today however he has now developed this rash across his back which seems to be spreading to his tummy and up toward his face.

It is blanching and he seems to be more himself today than he has been all week.

I've asked the doctor to see him tomorrow to check it but any ideas?

That looks like Measles.

It does, however today is actually the most well he's seemed all week. He was very poorly last week with a high temp. That seems to have gone now really and he seems much more himself, but now this rash!

Either rubella or measles I'll bet my hat on it. They're are more sick before the rash 100% avoid going into the doctors office, video call or telephone with pics emailed over. Don't spread it

My children always got rashes like that along with viruses.

Probably a viral rash of some sort. Def talk to the doctor to rule out the real nasties but its probably your commonal garden viral rash since its on his back (and i assume that what he lies on most of the time)

It's actually on his tummy too, I just only took the pic of his back. I sent a pic of both tummy and back to the doctor though.
