Hi ladies a mumma in need my 11 month old son has had a fever since Friday night I have been giving him ibuprofen which brings it down a bit he's been very very fussy and clingy and tired other than these symptoms I haven't seen any other symptoms to say it's a cold , Uti or ear infection I don't have a thermometer so not sure exactly what his temp is

I have contacted 111 and they are going to give me a call back so waiting for that

He's drinking his bottles and purées fine but refusing his solids he's weeing and pooping okay

Any suggestions on what could be going on soo worried for my son wish I could take his pain away

Teeth?

Hi thank you for your response @SnowdropFox it could be as I see his teeth coming in at the top but he's got 4-5 teeth already and he hasn't teethed like this before currently in the hospital having him checked over

Honestly it could be anything. I’ve known Covid to do this in small kids. Once when mine was tiny she had a fever for 4 days, then the fever broke and she developed a classic viral rash and snotty nose and was fine again.

Had he had a Covid test, or are you just isolating to be safe?

Drinking plenty of fluids is excellent. A 111 call is sensible if you’re worried.

@drawthelatch the only person who's ill in my house is my partner and he's just got a cold tested negative 4 times it could be that he picked up the cold or something as we've had COVID back in July
