AIBU- to ask how often your toddler has a temperature?

My 16month old little girl seems to have a high temperature at least once a week, (38.4 ish) often coinciding with bedtime- she constantly seems to get one cold/cough/virus after another since starting nursery in March, but I'm worried that it isn't normal that her temperature is up so often? Nurofen brings it down and she's ok in herself.

We were in A&E 2 weeks ago with her temp as it was 39 and not going down, doctors said an ear infection that hadn't cleared from previous antibiotics so set some more, but were a bit concerned how high her heart rate was due to the temp (197bpm). I've since noticed her heart does race when she has the temp.

I suffer with health anxiety myself and whilst
Really conscious not to show this around my
Little girl I can't help but worry something underlying may be going on?

Thanks for your help.

This year has been especially bad for viruses I think - we've had back to back colds, viruses, D&V bugs, high temps (38-39) since about September when previously DD was very rarely ill. I feel like I speak to the Covid test centre staff more than I do my friends.

I'm just about to make 5 days with my toddler not coming down with something new for the first time in THREE months! It's been crazy, we are a very healthy family but I think this year has been brutal. I've ended up a stay at home mum due to covid and feel I would have been sacked if I did work because I wouldn't have been able to go in (we have no family in the UK to help). He goes to nursery a few mornings a week to play with other children and I feel he catches something every visit and we have to do the whole pcr isolation thing every time. I remember my oldest being like this but it wasn't so hard before covid precautions.

Just the once. He had hand foot and mouth back in September and had a temperature then for 4-5 days on and off.
