My little girl is 4 months and 3.5 weeks ago she was put onto SMA Alfamino milk for CMPA. She so have 4.6ml of Omeprazole first thing for silent reflux. Her poos are now green and still have mucus in and the last 3/4 nights has been waking every couple of hours and sounds very uncomfortable and struggles to get herself back to sleep. I'm exhausted with the lack of sleep and wasn't sure if the mucus and the fact she is unsettled means the new milk isn't agreeing with her?

Hi, I’m just wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this?? My LO has just started on Alfamino after being on Althera for a couple of months. She has been on omeprazole from 4 weeks old for silent reflux also. I feel as though since starting Alfamino she has been a lot
more unsettled again - waking herself up restless at night, not napping as long during the day and has been being sick which isn’t like her. Feel like we’re back at square one!!

I know this is an older thread but @Sk20222 we're in a similar position. DD is 19 weeks and started on Aptamil Pepti 1 about three weeks ago for suspected CMPA. She's mixed-fed so I've also gone dairy free.

Her symptoms from aged 10 weeks were numerous dirty nappies (12-15 a day) which were frothy and caused awful nappy rash. Her weight then plateaued and despite the nappies going back to normal (ish) when having normal formula and dairy in my breast milk, the lack of weight gain prompted GP to suggest CMPA.

The last two days we've had lots of green, mucus-y poo (like pesto) and the nappy rash is back, and the endless poos have started (she farts or coughs and poos - we're changing nappies all the time).

I've changed nothing and wonder whether the Pepti 1 and dairy free has made any difference, whether she's reacting to something else or whether it's teething. Her poor bum is so sore and I'm so puzzled as to what's causing it. She seems very gassy and unsettled at night too ☹️.
