aaaahhhhhhhhh! exam timetable out.

Got my exam timetable for this term today, bit of a problem. I have two exams on 7th December, the second one finishes at 6.30pm, I have to pick bean up from nursery at 5pm. Do you think there's any chance they would change the whole timetable just for me?

Unlikely, I'm afraid. However, they might be willing for you to sit the exam earlier or later in a separate room, and they'd have to "imprison" you so you couldn't get in touch with anyone else until the official exam had started.
Alternatively, they might suggest you apply for deferral, meaning that you would take the exam during the next assessment period.
Bummer, I know.

Beansmum, I don't think they'd alter the timetable for you but Badhair is correct - I recently (in June) had to site 2 exams at the same time but what they did was allow me to sit one and then lock me away on my own for 2 hours until the invigilator was free for me to do the 2nd one on my own. They also won't let you start on early than the allocated time - something to do with 'the rules'. Is there anybody else that could pick up bean that day or would the nursey have bean until 7pm? The nursery is only open until 6pm and there isn't anyone who could look after bean.

I will speak to my tutor tomorrow but if they wont let me do the exam early the only option would be to do it the next day, unless someone is willing to stay at uni supervising me until 9pm. unlikely I think, and I would still have the problem of what to do with bean.

Well, I'm sure I'll sort it out, they must realise that I have a good reason for wanting to sit it at a different time.

Or someone could come and babysit for me, any offers!
