Baby cut his lip need advice PANICKING!

Hi, my little one is 1 year and 6 month he was playing today and hit his mouth on the bed corner and got a cut on the lip although it has stopped bleeding and he is not crying just falling asleep now does he need stitches? I read online they need stitches on lip cuts and I confused I have attached pictures any experience ?

Wouldn't bother with anything except calpol and possibly cleaning with a mild saline solution if you're worried about infection.

IANAD but I wouldn't worry about that at all.

I definitely don't think that needs stitches. It's very tiny and not gone over the border of the lip iykwim.
He'll be fine. Let him sleep, and you too.

I think he will be fine and he will soon forget it happened...and do it again at some point.
All you can really do is make sure it's clean and offer pain relief if he seems bothered by it.
In my experience (3 older kids) Ive notice injuries in the mouth seem to heal up pretty quickly.
I find us parents are often more upset about these things than the child. I hope you and your son feel better soon x

Thank you for the reply guys really puts my mind to ease just googled it and it said most cuts need stitches so I freaked out lol he is sleeping now gave him calpol gosh these kids scare you don’t they lol

He will be fine. My son slipped on a book and bit half his inner lip off, I fainted with the shock of the sight of it - rushed him to A&E, surgeon checked him over and sent us home! He was completely correct in that it healed within ten days. It was absolutely ghastly looking and we were certain he'd need surgery! But mouths really do heal fast!
