New born constipation Cow and gate comfort help

Hi my new born who is 2 weeks tomorrow can go a few days without doing a poo , I know it can be normal but seems to be making him more upset , he's on normal cow and gate just wondering if the comfort one is any good and could help

Congratulations! Is he constipated (hard, solid poos) or just finding it tough to go but doing normal baby poo? If it's the second option, they have to learn how to go and I think it often seems worse than it is. Tummy massage and bicycle legs can help as well (as does putting them in a lovely brand new outfit and being late for an appointment, always guaranteed to produce a huge poo! )

If he's doing hard poos then I'd speak to your midwife/HV for advice.
