I have a week old daughter and an almost 2 year old daughter. My 2 year old sleeps in her own room till anywhere from 12 - 3am when she comes in with us. This was fine pre-baby but I’m finding now the newborn and toddler are waking each other up..she’s not jealous but very curious and wants to cuddle and stroke babies hair when I’m feeding etc, rather than sleep! She doesn’t like me sleeping with my back to her either as I sleep in the C shape around the newborn (following safe cosleeping guidance).
Will this pass and they get used to each other? I’m totally against sleep training so don’t want to kick toddler out, she’s transitioned to half the night in her own room with no real ‘training’ so I’m confident she’ll get to the whole night in her own time. Hoping once the excitement wears off and she gets used to me not facing her sleeping things will settle...
